Ask an adult to cut an apple in half, cutting across the apple as shown in the diagram.
1. Allow one-half of the apple to dry. Place the apple piece near a window so that it receives direct sunlight if possible. Place something, such as paper, under the apple half to protect the surface the apple sits on.
Note: Air drying can take several weeks, depending on the temperature and humidity.But the final product is worth the wait. You will have a very interesting dehydrated example.
Again, time of drying depends on temperature and humidity. Both dehydrated apple pieces can be used a decorations.
