Collecting data is a very important part of your project. As a reminder, DATA is recorded information. It is the results of your experiment. Data for this example project includes your observations of the apple slices. This can be written observation as well as diagrams.
Clue:It is difficult to remember exactly how things look when you make a lot of observations. Photos are great ways to record your observations. If you have a digital camera, be sure to transfer your pictures often. Or, when taking the photos, place a sign showing the date and time next to the material being photographed. This lets you know when the photos were taken.
Once the experiment has been completed and all the data collected, you need to analyze the data. This is your next step.
