How to Challenge Kids With Varying Abilities
Notice in the following video that the teachers has kids grouped by abilities. This is not evident until the end of the video when she explains that some groups are expected to build more complicated burglar alarms.
During the initial introduction to circuits, groups could be random with kids of different abilities–if it works with the kids. In other words, there is no set template for organizing every group of kids. What you do not want to happen is for some of the kids to do all the work and other to observe. I like the way the teacher in the video has all the kids working–working at their own ability levels.
