Step 5 Hypothesis
Let’s assume that your science project question is:
So, what do you think? Will using different kinds of fruit affect the amount of DNA extracted from the fruit cells? Your guess about the answer is called your hypothesis, and it should be more than just a wild guess. Instead, your hypothesis should be based on facts or specific conditions.
Facts:
chromosomes–Made of strands of DNA and proteins.
polyploid– Organism who cells contain more than the basic two sets of chromosomes .
Hypothesis
Example 1: Because some fruits are polyploids, using different kinds of fruit should result in the extraction of different amounts of DNA.
Example 2: The type of fruit used will affect the amount of DNA extracted because some fruits have different numbers of chromosomes.
