I enjoyed seeing the office of Albert Einstein as well as the offices of the other brilliant minds shown in the photos below. My first thought was that I must be brilliant because my office is often as messy as these. It just depends on how many projects I am working on. One technique that I have for working on a clean desk without moving the stacks of papers and books is to cover the desk with a large sheet of paper. Yes! The work area is a bit lumpy but at least the new project doesn’t get mixed with other papers. I’ve used this method many time when reviewing galleys of my books. When I finish the review–I sent it back to the publisher–remove the paper cover and continue writing a new book using the various stacks of papers and books on my desk–floor, chairs–etc……
I have been known to have a cleaning attack. Thankfully this doesn’t happen very often because when I clean my work area I forget where I put stuff. I think I’ll post these pictures on my office wall to remind me that “A Messy Office is a Sign of a Brilliant Mind.” UUM! How true is that statement? I think a science fair project could be developed —-check out the ideas below.
