I am absolutely WACKY over WIKIS. As to being a wizard, that is only in my dreams, but I am having fun and learning more every day.
So what is a wiki? It’s a website that allows invited users to add new material and to edit material on the site. There is never a fear of “messing up” because the wiki automatically keeps a record of the work and the original work can be seen at anytime.

Like a lot of programs, you pay extra for upgrades. It surprises me how much you can do with the free wiki. A wiki is absolutely perfect for homeshool groups. A friend teaches a writing class to homeschool kids. She puts her lessons on her wiki and her students can correspond with her as well as other students in the class via the wiki. You have to see it to really understand how it works. Also, there are so many tutorials and if you get an invitation for the wiki summer camp in 2010, I suggest you enroll. It is free and wonderful.
My wiki is for adults interested in learning and sharing teaching tips. The site is open to all educators–classroom, homeshool groups, parents, librarians, etc…….The objective of the site is to link science activities to other curriculum.
I am inviting you to join my wiki. As a member, you will be part of a Funology Team. As a Team member, you can contribute ideas to the wiki and/or use ideas posted. You are not committed and once you join the team you may quit or remain an inactive member–it is your choice. Know that 4 weeks ago I had no idea how to develop a wiki and I am still learning. I am very empathetic with anyone that doesn’t understand all the computer “lingo.” You can leave comments on the wiki or you can contact me directly for any instructions you need.
